According to Mau, above the altar was a stucco relief representing a sacrifice; at the sides of the relief were pilasters.
Above the relief was a gable, in which an eagle could be seen.
The eagle indicated that the shrine was dedicated to Jupiter.

VII.7.21/22 Pompeii. Street Altar as painted by Mazois.
According to Mau two pilasters supported an aedicula in
which an eagle was seen.
This indicated that the shrine was dedicated to Jupiter.
Above the altar was a stucco relief representing a sacrifice.
Fiorelli described it as Ara Iovis
with a Genius sacrificing, with two Lares and underneath a table and serpents.
